No no no, I'm not quite done with Sydney yet. There are plenty more to come actually. But I assure you, you'd thank me if you'd be going to Sydney, and would love to have some Japanese food, because Wagaya is awesome-possum! Good food, with affordable prices. ;)
I love how hi-tech they are, allowing their customers to make orders (even if it's just plain water) on the touch-screens located by the tables. And surprisingly, they actually attend to you really quickly. Ah, Japanese and their efficiency. Like! ;)
Ox Tongue - Sadly, this dish did not meet our expectations as the cut was too thick, and it was not very well cooked. It wasn't tender as it should have been, and it was quite tough really.
The Sushi Roulette - One among the six salmon sashimi has a big hugeass dollop of wasabi hidden inside. A little entertainment at the dining table with a group of friends. The best part is if your friends aren't aware of this, and they will happily go 'BITE' and shout for "WATERRRRRR PLEASEEEEEE!" :P
California Roll - say you have no idea what this is and I shall suggest you head to the nearest wall, and bang your head on it. Thank you! :P
Rainbow Roll - tuna, tuna/avocado, ebi, kingfish, and salmon.
Lightly grilled salmon and scallop box sushi - I really really loved this combo! I like how both the salmon and scallop were lightly seared to give it a hint of smokey effect, and added on with the mayo... oh, yums!
Salmon grilled with cheese - this combo though, I didn't enjoy too much. I think there was too much cheese, and it was overpowering. But then again, for some reasons, I realized that I am starting to not like cheese as much as I used to anymore, so maybe it's just me.
DRAGON ROLL - in capital bold letters because it is my favourite! Unagi and lotus flower, YUMMERS MAX! :D :D :D
Spider Roll - soft shell crab with the yellowish orange slightly spicy dressing which has a hint of mustard. I liked it though. I thought it was very innovative of them. And finally, last but not least...
Scampi Roll - you know what I like best bout this sushi roll? Its name. So cute, don't you think? But of course, it tasted good too and lived up to its cute name. Hehe.
So there you have it, a list of sushi porn! And I think it is such a bad idea to be blogging about the food you're craving for, because right now I think I could just lick my screen.
Their address! Yup, you're welcome! :D
