The dodgy dumpling place.

Located at a back-lane alley in Chinatown, Camy Shanghai Dumpling is quite a popular restaurant although it does seem a tad bit dodgy.

I've got to admit though that the food is not too bad and most importantly, cheap! Despite hearing a lot of stories about the dirty kitchen, I really wonder why we still keep going there, eh? *giggles*

This is deep-fried beef dumpling! Omg look at the plate, so oily! We always wonder if they get their oil supply for very cheap price. :P

Super yum pumpkin cake!

My photography skills don't do enough justice.
Or more like the lighting in the restaurant. :P

Oh my! My long awaited Xiao Long Bao! *droools* :D

With a dip of vinegar, whoah, perfecto! *YUMMEH!*

The bill came up to $16, so yeap, it's $8 per person.
Not too bad right considering we had 3 varieties. :)

Apple Cuppie Castle

My mum used to bake this for my brother and I when we were still very little. But she's starting to get real lazy now that her daughter is taking over her role in baking. *bluek* I grew up loving this cuppie most. And it still is, without a shadow of doubt, my favourite cuppie!

Put together cinnamon, apple, and vanilla - Voila! :D The texture of the cuppie is so soft that when it's bitten, your tastebuds just dances in the air and go wulala, with cinnamon melting on your tongue. Yummmmehh!

A friend of mine ordered a dozen of them. So, I baked an extra dozen for the brudder and I. :)

Alrightey, just this one more shot to make you drool all over. If ever you're interested to give my Apple Cuppies a try, buzz me! I do accept orders! ;)

Oh, today I baked Mango Strudels too, and they were really good! :D I remember eating them when I was in my teen years but it got discontinued. I've been searching high and low for it in stores and bakeries, but to no avail. So I decided to give it a go myself.

I'm really satisfied with the outcome but sowie, no pictures! I was actually rushing to give it to a friend, so I didn't have the time to go snappie snap snap. But fret not because I'll definitely make it again, and will make sure I take pictures. :)

Apple Crumble

Best eaten when it's out fresh from the oven!
Crunchy and fragrant on the top layer. *munch*
And when you dig in to the bottom for the apples...

MAMMA MIA! ;D

The whole cutting-the-apples process was the most hassle one for me. Totally dislike peeling the apples' skin, and removing the seeds then having to cut them into small slices.

I stood there doing the whole mundane routine over and over again for ten apples, I just got so tired. *sigh*

But finally, when I was done, a sense of huge relief overwhelmed me. Especially after I cook them with a pinch of cinnamon. It smelt just oh-so-good, the effort was way worth it.

Though of course, I'd prefer if someone could help me with the apples, in the future. *sticks tongue out* It took me quite a while to rub the butter into the flour, but it was all fine with me. :)

Popped them into the oven and waited patiently for my babies to cook. Only took a short 15 minutes, which was really quick I'd reckon. Did a tad bit of cleaning up and *Ding!* went the timer.

I set them aside to cool for a bit, and quickly succumb to the temptation. Took my first bite... and whoah! Scrumptious! :D
