I have yet to try Pierre Herme's, or Laduree's, or even Duncan's famous macarons, so I can't really claim La Renaissance's to be the best in the world, but definitely the best that I've had by far.
I loved everything about La Renaissance's macarons - especially the texture. They're not hard, yet not soft either. They were spot-on, with a nice crisp that makes you go "WOW" as you bite into them.
The inventive flavor combinations simply burst in your mouth, and well, I couldn't help but come with foodgasm right there and then.
My favourite? The passionfruit with milk choc ganache - a definite MUST TRY! Haaaa.... Don't say I never share my good finds. ;)
Where to get 'em gorgeous babies?

At the little gem on The Rocks, Sydney.
The next time I'm there (which I hope will be soon), I will try out their cakes and pastries too.
So, do you have any patisseries in which you would claim to serve the best macarons you've had?
You hould try Molten Lava's Macarons! My customers said it's as good as Laduree and some said it's even better than Laduree! I just appeared on TV on Macaron Making :)
